Let's Talk About Chronicle

April 2004, some youth Catholics started to gather together in a band to express their passion to praise and worship God through Catholic songs. Having a long journey with personnel selection process, finally there are 5 young people ranging in age from 20-25 who are committed together to spread God’s mission in a musical way.

Chronicle !!
This is the name that we chose as our unity and our encouragement.
“Chronicle” will then become our main mission.
We’d love to see our music becomes a great blessing for every nation and His name will be praised and glorified forever.

Chronicle ...
It came from the word chronos which means “Time”.
We wanna be a history through our songs.
And we believe, our spirit and hard work will help us to reach our dream, to make music as a powerful tool that transcends all cultures and to spread out God’s glory to people.

Here we are…

Vae – Vocalist
Born on 12 April 1983, graduated from ESMOD (Ecole Superieure Des Arts et Techniques de la Mode) Jakarta and now working as a fashion designer. Her service started at the first time in a youth prayer community called JOY (Jesus Of Youth) as a singer. Then she was promoted to be a worship leader and also become the leader of JOY Worship Ministry. ”We would like to be an inspirator for youth Catholics..”, she said.

Julio – Bassist
He was born on 18 July 1983 and he started to play music since he was 5 year old. His firstly became a guitarist in JOY, in the same community as Vae did. He played a big role in developing the music ministry in JOY. The biggest dream of him is to publish a Catholic song album that will bless people and bring them to God. Julio believes that the battle to pursue his dream is really the true challenge he always fight for.

Irvan – Guitarist
Born in 8 September 1986. He has been learning and playing music since he was 8 year old. He also started his first service in JOY. His warm and friendly character make his services grow. Serving is not a matter of entertaining people, it’s how we could serve and help people deep from our heart.

Ferdie – Drummer
He is the youngest personnel in Chronicle. No doubt can be put to his drum skill, since he has been playing a high quality drum since he was 14 year old. His spontaneus character helps him to explore new things easily, and that applies also to his drum skill. Learning is a process, and making mistakes is one way of learning things. That encourages Ferdie to keep fighting and exploring.

Yohanna (Yo’) – Keyboardist
She started to play music when she was 10. And since that time, her skill gradually and consistently increase. She played a significant role as a keyboardist in JOY, the same community as the other Chronicle personnels. One thing that pleases her is to see, to listen and to learn new things from a more experienced keyoboardist. Learning by Listening, maybe this statement describes a lot what she loves to do. With lots of experiences in music, her keyboard skill will always be an invaluable asset for Chronicle. ”Nothing is more magnificent than playing my fingers on my keyboard while worshipping God. All by HIS grace.."
